![]() Are You Looking For the Best Membership Site Software? For the past several years, I've been running membership sites and have tested well over a dozen membership scripts and Wordpress plugins. I've put together a short comparison of the membership site software that I currently use in my business that I highly recommend. |
Are you a membership site newbie? If so, this is a post just for you…
If you’re reading this, chances are that you’re interested in building a membership site. The purpose of this post is just to let you know the truth up front and to help you succeed. Building a membership site business is almost just like any other business …what I mean by that is most people that start fail.
You must build up your awareness and accept reality to increase your chances of success.
Time and time again, I see a common mistake with people that are just starting out…
Giving Up Too Soon
Sometimes this happens when people get frustrated. People get frustrated because they expect something to happen…but it just didn’t. Some people are aware of the things that cause the frustration…while others are left guessing …or blaming somebody else …or maybe even themselves.
There are different phases of building a membership site. Just to name several: doing preliminary research, setting up the site, creating content, getting traffic…and so on.
Somewhere along the line, many newbies get stuck. There are 2 things that I notice: they either blame themselves, or they blame others.
In order to succeed, you must be able to identify strengths and weaknesses …and that means your own as well. I understand that some people don’t like to think about their own weaknesses. Get over it, build up your strength, and toss out your pride (…or whatever is holding you back).
Out of all the phases that I’ve mentioned, the most common phase to give up on is setting up the site – and that includes setting up the membership site script.
I’ve heard a bunch of excuses like: “This script is too hard to setup…I know what I’m doing… I’ve setup PHP scripts like Wordpress before.” …or “I’m going to find another script that’s easier to setup”. …and many of these people that I’ve chatted with haven’t even read the instructions…they think it should be like setting up Wordpress through Fantastico.
Another example I see are people that want a complex setup or script, aren’t techie, and expect to get it set up right on their own with the first shot.
I’ve even encountered some people that think that they can build a membership site business just by setting up the script on their site…and barely do anything else. …which still surprises me.
You must be realistic. This doesn’t mean accept failure…
If you’re stuck, swallow your pride or whatever is holding you back…and get some help.
If you’re stuck and you’re offered help…then use it.
There have been many times where I’ve encountered students that are stuck…and they don’t even want help and quit…even when I hold out my hand and give them some support for free. ….or they ask for techie help and they don’t even want to tell me their website URL.
Some things I don’t get…but that’s life. It’s just like the old saying…”Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way”. If you don’t have the will, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
Even if you’re not the techie type, there is a way (have others do the techie work for you).
- If you’re stuck on getting traffic, have somebody that knows about getting traffic help you or learn how to get traffic yourself through the autopilot membership site course.
- If you’re stuck building content, pay others to create it for you…or learn and get experience creating your own.
- If you’re stuck on finding the right niche, I teach people how to do that in my autopilot membership site course.
If you have the will, you can succeed!
