People can still make money from small niches. However, I believe one of two things must exist. You should either have a high price point or have a continuity plan with a medium to high price point.

For example, there’s a software training site that get’s close to 3000 unique visitors a month. Their main focus for the whole year is to warm up their subscribers so that they can join them in Las Vegas for a seminar that’s over a grand.
