All you have to do is create a new page or post and change the “Visibility” mode to “Password protected”. Then simply enter a password and press OK.
It really doesn’t matter if you’re using your site as a blog or not. Wordpress can be used for a content management system. That is, you can create content for your site and it does not have to be a blog.
