PLR Membership Sites – How Do You Build Them?

How does it sound to be able to use PLR (private label rights) or even MRR (master resale rights) content for your membership site?

Here are 2 things that come to mind:

1) Using PLR can help you build a membership site fast
2) PLR content sucks…in most cases

Let’s explain the first part…

For those of you that aren’t familiar with PLR content, it’s content that you can buy and use for almost any purpose. It really depends on the license.

Many PLR (and MRR) ebooks come with sales letters, graphics, and some even come with autoresponder content (newsletters).

While this may seem like a “turnkey” way to start up a membership site, there is a huge problem with a lot of PLR content. The majority of content is written in a neutral and boring style. Also, the content is written very cheaply…meaning that the quality is pretty low.

So let’s talk about the 2nd part. How can you (or why would you) build a PLR membership site if the content is bad?

Here’s the simple solution: don’t use PLR content “as is” if it is bad. This seems like a basic idea, but there are many people slapping together PLR membership sites “as is”.

This doesn’t mean that the site can’t get subscribers. What it could mean is that you’ll be more dissatisfied subscribers if the content isn’t great.
